Here's the story of the panties:

The idea came about when no product for menstruation had ever really seemed comfortable, each with its own downside and yes, we wanted to reduce the amount of waste. Then somewhere on the Internet, we saw an existing product from foreign manufacturers, but we wanted to research and compare. Then my mother and I tested many different options to understand the best materials, etc. We were excited about how comfortable and cool it was. We just wanted it to be beautiful too. And then we really wanted to create our own and unique ones, with beautiful designs, so that even during menstruation we could “get dressed up” and feel feminine, instead of pulling ugly panties out of the closet, which is not a pity. We also want to make this product more accessible to Latvian ladies and popularize it in general as such. Then, joining forces with my mother, who is our panties designer, seamstress and in every other way understands materials and knows every stitch, after almost a year of work we finally came to what you can now buy.

One of the most frequently asked questions is how do panties work? Can you really wear them alone - and yes, yes, yes! They work like packs - only they feel cooler and you don't have to pollute the environment.

The panties can also be used for extra protection with all other menstrual products.

Of course, each lady will need a different number of panties individually, depending on the strength and duration of her menstruation, and she will be able to walk for a different amount of time with the same panties. We started testing overnight or while living at home - to understand what and how.

It's been 3 months since I experimented with these menstrual panties and I can finally write a more complete review to encourage other women to think about their health and not choose the usual chemically soaked pads or tampons. Alternative menstrual products are nothing new to me, I've tried both funnels, natural sponges, cotton pads and various other eco-friendly options and I'm well-versed in this world. Menstrual panties were last on the list, so when I saw a product made in Latvia, I was happy that it was finally possible to try it here.

Let's start with the fact that the sizes are very appropriate (they sewed a size for me that was not in the standard size chart, thank you very much for that too) and the inner material itself is very pleasant (bamboo fiber knit) both to the touch and to wear, I would also like to wear everyday panties made of this material, it really feels like the skin "breathes" and is much less irritated, even compared to cotton. The panties are well made and the seam between the frame material and the absorbent material is practically imperceptible. I chose the classic black model because I wanted the highest possible waist. I have quite heavy periods in the first days of my period and was interested in how much this model would be able to absorb, because I saw that a night/heavy day model was also available.

I am pleasantly surprised that they hold a lot and I even squeezed them to the maximum limit, which would be the case for me when I started to seep through. When wearing them, there is no feeling of moisture between my legs, the only times when I can feel something is when I put them back on after going to the toilet, you can feel a little coldness of blood. Sleeping with them at night is extremely comfortable and nothing has leaked anywhere, there is also no such pronounced feeling (as with large night packs) that blood is pooling between my ass cheeks.

From a practical point of view, if I wanted to use only menstrual pads on a daily basis, I would have to buy another model, because when I sleep at night and rinse them in the morning, they don't dry out so quickly that I can immediately continue during the day, but by the evening they are already dry (just dried on a radiator). I washed them according to the instructions, in cool water and to avoid soaking them so deeply, I simply put a little water in the bath and rotate them with my hand on the surface of the water. They have not lost their shape, color, and there is no unpleasant aroma. Menstrual discharge itself, along with blood, smells a bit like iron, but with these pads you don't have to worry that the smell will accumulate, because the material is natural. The smell is like that of packets/tampons and only because of the chemicals in the material. So far, after 3 months of use, there are no obvious signs of wear and tear. The black ones also seem more practical from that point of view.

I definitely recommend these inserts to any lady, but they are very useful, I think they are for women who have severe cramps/swelling in the vaginal walls, endometriosis, or other medical conditions or psychotraumatic cases (such as vaginismus) and cannot insert anything inside themselves, even if they want to use healthier options (such as a funnel). Since the first few days are too hard for me, I use a funnel and other alternatives, but later I can walk around with the inserts all day and feel comfortable. My favorite ones are for night use and I will definitely buy more when these wear out!
